The
Re-Generator - Sage
of Cups

The New Year
brings resolutions and renewal, both words with
the wonderful prefix of "re," befitting of the
Re-generator card. Life is all about being able
to "re," to keep going, to re-birth and re-joice,
and to re-charge and re-lax.
I am reminded
of the god/dess RE (called RA in our Egyptian
days) by the events of this autumn and the
recent Voyager workshop in Sebastopol ,
California .
One
participant in Sebastopol chose the Regenerator
Card in the emotional position for his goal of
success in pursuit of "right livelihood." His
subsequent cards went in a pattern, Oppression
(Five of Wands) followed by
Aspiration/Liberation (Four of Wands), and then
Setback (Five of Worlds) followed by Synergy
(Six of Worlds). The insightful conclusion was
that reward results in seeing opportunities in
setbacks and breakouts through breakdowns by
re-grouping, re-visioning, re-committing...
RE-GENERATING!
And then I
thought of my friends, one of whom is a
successful CEO of a Re-Insurance company, which
insures insurance companies. Since Katrina and
Wilma hurricanes (an insurer's nightmare), he's
been about re-sponding and re-building. And RE
is my friend's forte, the name of the game.
Another friend
of mine, now I don't know if I should write
this, but what the hell, we're all adults,
right? He fell during sex on his erect penis!
Yowza oucha!!! He's been re-habing and re-surrecting?
Yes, and he's back, on the re-bound.
Ah yes,
"resiliency," the latest greatest value in the
business world today, is true for all of us
personally. My almost breaking of my neck, when
I fell on my head this past September, set me
back, but "one step back and two steps ahead."
Because of the fall, I am getting my body
re-stored better than ever. It's actually a
truism about everything in life that we go back
before forwards... spring follows the death of
winter. When we move our body ahead, we, in
fact, go back and push off. When we see the
future, we actually re-gress, re-call and
re-member what similar situations in our past
have produced. (It's called the "ancient
future"). The key is not stay in the past, but
to re-invent.
What's the
secret of the almighty life principle
regeneration? Note that the Sage of Cups is the
master of "emotions" (Cups). If you love enough,
anything is possible and re-newable. The
greatest re-source we have for re-creating is
the "source," the life force of love. Love your
work, love your partner, love your body, love
life itself is the healing medicine that
re-pairs and re-kindles.
Do what you
love. Live where you love. Be with who you love.
Re-commit to a life of love. What a New Year's
resolution!
NEW YEAR'S
RESOLUTION OF REGENERATION
Take the
Regenerator Card, pick out a symbol in it that
attracts your eye, and then let that image speak
to you of what needs renewing and how to do
that. Set your intuition free, and trust its
message. Keep the Card out for you to see as a
reminder of your resolution.
